The recently refurbished and extended library provides a friendly and purposeful atmosphere and is at the centre of school life for many pupils and staff.
Resources include books to cover the curriculum and recreational reading as well as periodicals story tapes and access to the Internet via 19 PC's. The Connexions library is housed within the main library providing comprehensive careers advice. Pupils are taught by the Librarian how to make the best use of the resources in the library and to evaluate sources of information including those on the Internet.
During annual reading week the whole school reads each morning for 30 minutes together. This and a literature Treasure Trail promote reading within the school.
