Assessment Information

Pupils are assessed on the effort they make in every lesson and through tests, assessed tasks and examinations. Their progress is tracked allowing the Head of Year and Form Tutor to see at a glance whether or not the pupil is working satisfactorily and to their ability. If there is cause for concern parents are alerted and discussions can take place as to how the pupil can be helped and any problem rectified.

Parents' evenings provide the opportunity for parents to consult with individual teachers about the progress made by their child in all the subjects they study. The dates and times for our parents' evenings can be found on the school calendar.

Assessment data is provided to parents twice yearly, in February and July. A form teacher report accompanies the July assessment data for parents of pupils in Years 7-10. Parents of pupils in Year 11 receive a report from all their child's subject teachers in the Spring Term of Year 11.

Parents are always welcome to contact the school to talk to members of staff about any matter which concerns them.
